The selection of 48 unframed prints comprise 44 plates of single-species paintings, and four multi-species paintings (two plates of bustards and korhaans, one of five species of small doves, and one comprising the Blue Quail, Painted Snipe and Great Snipe).

The illustrations have been lithographed on high-quality Munken paper, with each print individually signed and numbered by Penny Meakin. The size of the plate is 530 mm in height by 440 mm in width. The full set of prints can be viewed in the scrolling column on the right.

Each plate carries a blind-embossed AGRED logo on the lower left corner. The collection of 48 prints, with a provenance sheet and a protective sheet of tracing paper, is presented in an imported green linen box with a ribbon, stunningly embossed with a gold-foil AGRED logo and portfolio title.

Penny Meakin is South Africa's foremost gamebird artist, whose work symbolises the unspoilt wilderness of Africa. Penny complements field observations with photographs, skins and fresh specimens to conjure her life-like reproductions. She believes it is essential for an artist to see the subject in its natural habitat to become attuned to its jizz and environment.
